Build intentional audio profiles for podcasts, apps, interviews, and speech workflows, with listening review at the center.
Treat channel handling, presentation changes, and file encoding as separate decisions. A podcast listening copy and a speech-processing input may need different profiles. Preserve the approved source and test the actual destination.
Identify useful tracks, separate microphones, quiet passages, and transitions. Do not select channels by filename alone.
Document the intended mix, packaging, and any approved presentation processing. Keep requirements separate from guesses.
Review intelligibility, speaker balance, first and last sentences, and behavior in the target application.
