ENCODEAPI.COM / Accessibility
Built to be read, explored, and navigated.
Accessibility features and practical ways to report a barrier on EncodeAPI.com.
Navigation and reading
The site includes a skip-to-content link, semantic page headings, descriptive navigation, and visible keyboard focus styles. The main header stays available while scrolling. Article section links account for that header so the destination heading remains visible.
Use the Menu button on a smaller screen to open the navigation. The button reports its expanded state. Escape closes an open menu and returns focus to the button. Without JavaScript, the main navigation remains visible.
Interactive reference examples
The reference examples use tabs with labeled panels. Use the left and right arrow keys to move between tabs, or Home and End to reach the first and last choices. Copy buttons act only on the displayed reference text. If clipboard access is unavailable, the text is selected for your device’s normal copy action.
Question-and-answer sections use native expandable details. No uploads, search fields, account forms, or other data-entry forms are required to use the resource.
Images, motion, and layout
Featured images include descriptive alternative text. Decorative marks are hidden from assistive technology. The layout adapts to narrow viewports, and reading content remains available without animation. Reduced-motion preferences disable transitions and smooth scrolling.
Code samples can scroll horizontally within their own panel rather than forcing the whole page wider. Articles also include a simplified print layout.
Report a barrier
Accessibility is an ongoing responsibility, and individual browser or assistive-technology combinations may reveal issues that were not apparent during testing. This page is not a claim of formal accessibility certification.
Email [email protected] with the page address, the action you were trying to complete, and the browser or assistive technology involved. Describe the barrier without sending private recordings, credentials, or sensitive device data. The contact page provides the same email as a visible link.
